Travel: Terms & Conditions

By booking a trip, you (traveler) are agreeing to the terms & conditions provided by Teacher on a Trip. By purchasing travel on this website, you are entering into a contractual arrangement between you and Teacher on a Trip.

Make sure to read this information carefully and in full before booking a trip with Teacher on a Trip. The Teacher on a Trip terms & conditions are subject to change.

Booking

In order to confirm your space on the trip, you must complete the Trip Sign-Up Form and pay a non-refundable deposit of $500 within 24 hours of receiving a trip invoice.

Itinerary

Teacher on a Trip provides an itinerary for the trip. It is the intention of Teacher on a Trip to adhere to the itinerary, however due to the nature of the trip, it is possible that occasional changes may be necessary. There is no guarantee for the sightings of mentioned wildlife. Additionally, travel times are approximations only and may change due to local or other circumstances.

Payment

Payment in full by the date listed is required for the traveler to be included on the trip.

Deposit & Refund Policy

In order to secure your place on a trip, the traveler must pay the non-refundable deposit.

Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to teacheronatrip@gmail.com.

Cancellations made prior to the determined trip cancelation date can receive a refund of any money paid beyond the non-refundable deposit. The non-refundable deposit will not be returned.

Cancellations made after the determined trip cancelation date are not eligible for a refund.

COVID-19

In the event that Teacher on a Trip cancels a trip due to COVID-19, you will receive a complete refund. To emphasize, the trip must be canceled by Teacher on a Trip to be eligible for the refund.

Cancelations by individual travelers for any reason is subject to the standard refund policy as described above.

Incidental Expenses

The purchases made on travel with Teacher on a Trip does not include incidental expenses, except for what is described on the itinerary. You are liable for all incidental expenses on the trip including but not limited to, lunches and dinners on your own, alcohol, optional tours, and souvenirs.

Photo Release

You agree to irrevocably grant Teacher on a Trip the right to record, use, publish, copyright, print, recreate, edit, distribute and otherwise exploit your picture, appearance, name, likeness, and voice (hereby known as “likeness”), including but not limited to images/video/written text recorded by Teacher on a Trip, yourself, guides, and/or others travelers. You agree to waive the right to approve any likenesses used by Teacher on a Trip. Any likenesses may used in sources including, but not limited to Teacher on a Trip website, course materials, and marketing materials.

Insurance

You agree and acknowledge that in order to participate in any Teacher on a Trip travel, you are required to have health insurance that applies in the country of travel. It is the responsibility of the traveler to confirm that your health insurance will apply in the country of travel. If health insurance does not apply in the country of travel, the traveler (you) are responsible and required for obtaining travel insurance. You may also purchase cancellation insurance as well, which is highly recommended by Teacher on a Trip.

Documentation/Entry Requirements

It is the responsibility of the traveler (you) to ensure that proper travel documentation is in place. All countries require a passport (with a remaining 6 months validitiy). Please refer to the following website for information: https://travel.state.gov.

Traveler Safety/Expulsion

Teacher on a Trip reserves the right to expel any traveler, in their own discretion, whose statements, acts, or omissions threaten the safety of themselves or others. Expelled travelers will not be subject to a refund of any trip costs and will be responsible for any costs incurred such as, but not limited to, alternative accommodation and return travel. You agree that Teacher on a Trip is under no legal obligation to expel any traveler and is not responsible for the conduct of any travelers.
